Transylvania offers numerous programs and events that reach beyond campus to enhance the cultural and academic life of the Lexington community and the surrounding area. Here are some examples:
Middle school and high school students can have fun while enhancing their academic and computer skills at our academic and computer camps. Transy also offers a variety of sports camps and swim lessons.
Transylvania hosts this annual three-week, highly competitive program that immerses 230 Kentucky high school students in eight artistic disciplines.
This on-campus gallery hosts a variety of exhibitions each year, including student and faculty art and works drawn from private and public collections. The gallery is a stop in the popular Lexington Gallery Hop.
Transylvania hosts events during this art fair, which is held each year in neighboring Gratz Park. The weekend features juried arts and crafts, ethnic foods, music, and children's activities.
Bring a blanket and a picnic for this performance by the Lexington Philharmonic and the Lexington Singers on the steps of Old Morrison on July 3.
