The Information Technology department is responsible for all facets of technology on campus. From lab computers to door access to online grades, our IT staff strives to help you use our technologies easily and efficiently.
We provide services to all students whether they live on campus, commute, or study abroad.

Students, faculty and staff may purchase a personal copy of Microsoft Office and other Microsoft and Adobe software by visiting http://transy.onthehub.com. You will be asked for your Transylvania e-mail address in order to verify that you are a member of the campus community, and then you may purchase software at discounted prices. The software will be sent directly to you and is yours to keep. You may purchase discounted Dell computers by visiting http://www.dell.com/transy. If you own an AT&T cell phone, you may receive a discount on your plan by visiting https://www.wireless.att.com/businesscenter/ and entering your e-mail address for verification.
Every Transylvania student is given a campus e-mail address. This e-mail address is used for communication between students, faculty, and university staff. E-mail accounts can be accessed anywhere in the world by visiting http://mail.transy.edu.
Students are alerted in cases of an extreme emergency on campus. Loudspeakers broadcast an audio message in residence halls and buildings, an e-mail message is sent to all Transylvania addresses, and a text message is sent to cell phones of registered users. You can subscribe for T-Alert text messages by visiting http://talert.transy.edu (site is available on campus only or from Campus Community page with your login) once a year. Alternatively, you may fill out the T-Alert form on TNet to register your cell phone so that it is automatically added to the T-Alert list each year.
Moodle is a web-based learning management system that allows professors to provide course syllabi, documents, graded assignments, quizzes, and discussion forums to students. To access Moodle, visit http://moodle.transy.edu. Moodle may be accessed from any Internet connection, including off campus.
TNet is your method for looking at your course registrations, transcripts, grades, etc. It can be accessed by visiting http://tnet.transy.edu. TNet may be accessed from any Internet connection including off campus.
There are nearly 200 lab computers in the following areas: Brown Science Center, Cowgill, the Library, Hazelrigg, Haupt, Forrer, Clay, Rosenthal Commons, and Poole. To use these computers, simply log in with your ID and password. Food and drinks are not allowed in the labs.
