The play explores the dangers of both racism and political correctness in America today. When an African American student at liberal Belmont College begins receiving hate mail, the campus erupts, first with shock, then with mutual recrimination as faculty and students alike try to prove their own tolerance by condemning one another. Directed by senior Annie Barbera. General admission tickets $10.

La Esencia Flamenco: Dance Across Cultures

7:30 p.m.-9:30 p.m.
Location: Haggin Auditorium, Mitchell Fine Arts Center

Performance by the Flamenco Louisville professional dance company followed by a discussion and exploration of this unique art expression. The program includes an introduction by Lori Rowland Houlihan of the mayor's office, and Henry Berlin, professor of Spanish at Transylvania. Opening remarks will be offered by Transylvania professors Paul Jones and Carole Barnsley as well as author Rosie Moosnick. An informal reception will follow with authentic Spanish tapas and non-alcoholic sangria. Free and open to the public. Click for details

Celtic music concert by Grammy-nominated fiddler Liz Carroll and Irish pianist and composer Cormac McCarthy. Seats are limited!
