Transfer Students

Transfer students should submit the following for admissions consideration:

Prospective students may apply online with the Common Application, a free, easy, secure application used by hundreds of colleges and universities. If you are filling out the Common Application for the first time, please register here.

If you prefer a paper application, a downloadable PDF application is available for you to print, fill out, and mail in. Please note that the paper application requires a $30 application fee.

For help filling out either application, contact your admissions counselor.

  2. Final, official high school transcript

  3. Official college transcripts

Applicants should submit transcripts from all colleges attended. College transcripts issued to the student for delivery are not considered official.

  4. Official ACT and/or SAT scores

Transylvania will accept official score reports from the testing organization as well as ACT and/or SAT scores appearing on official high school transcripts.

  5. Two letters of recommendation

The letters should be written by two individuals closely acquainted with your academic work. At least one letter must come from a college instructor or adviser. The two recommendations can come from any combination of the following:

    • Professors or high school teachers who taught you in the past two years or your academic adviser should complete the Professor's Evaluation and Recommendation and mail it to the Office of Admissions.
    • If you graduated from high school within the past year, you may ask your high school counselor to complete the Counselor's Evaluation and Recommendation as one of your recommendations and mail it to the Office of Admissions.
