Women's studies is an interdisciplinary academic program which aims to expand students' understanding and appreciation of women's lives and experiences both historically and in contemporary societies throughout the world.
Courses taken to fulfill the requirements of the women's studies minor examine the ways in which gender has structured intellectual and social traditions in the humanities, social sciences, or natural sciences. Special topics courses and independent studies may be included subject to approval of the program director.
