Our Values: Sustainability

Sustainability refers to the capacity of society to meet its needs without degrading the interrelated environmental, social, and economic systems on which future generations of all species will rely.

While facing the demands of our rapidly changing world, we must continue to address issues of sustainability — the importance of preserving our resources, infrastructure, and heritage for future generations, while ensuring their present availability for all people.

One of the most pressing issues of the 21st century is sustainability — meeting the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.
